Friday, Oct. 10th, UM Rosenstiel Students Host Auctions and Rummage Sale.
RSMAS is gearing up for its annual student auction to raise money for the Marine Science Graduate Student Organization (MSGSO), a not-for-profit organization set up at the School, which raises funds for student travel and loans.
Here are the details: The Marine Science Graduate Student Organization (MSGSO) at the Rosenstiel School will host its 12th Annual Student Auction on Friday, October 10. Silent auction and rummage sale begin at 5 p.m. in The Commons, and will be followed by a live auction at 6 p.m. Admission is $5 per person, and includes refreshments. The MSGSO serves the Schools 203 Master’s and Ph.D. students, and is a non-profit, student-run organization that supports students by funding travel to professional conferences and scientific activities. (It's a very casual, fun event in our waterfront bar/cafeteria called the Commons.)

| The Rickenbacker Causeway is extending its working hours to accomodate the residents and businesses of Key Biscayne who need to renew or apply for the Causeway C-Card or Pass. Until Oct 11th, they will be open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-6pm (instead of 5pm), and they will be open on Saturdays from 8am-12noon.To obtain a Resident Plan, or to renew your pass, please bring the following to the Toll Plaza; a copy of current Driver’s License; Current Vehicle Registration - Registration must contain the name of the resident purchasing the plan; Proof of Residency - Customer must present one of the following: Current utility bill, property tax bill, lease agreement for more than six months with their name and Key Biscayne address on the above proof of residency. |
