Distroller – The first Distroller store opened its doors over 10 years ago in Mexico City. It was founded by local artist, Amparo Serrano. Serrano incorporates the nuances of Mexican culture in her animated products such as jewelry, ceramics, notebooks, and wood crafts, and now offers an array of over 1000 products to choose from.
In Mexico, there are currently 26 stores located in various regions of the country. Most recently, stores in Venezuela and Canada have opened, and our Key Biscayne store is the first Distroller to open in the United States.
We, the owners of Distroller on Key Biscayne, are also from Mexico, and are very proud to bring to you, all of the authentic Mexican handcrafts full of bright colors, always incorporating the warmth and humor of the Mexican people and our culture.

Saturday Feb. 7 Seagrass Adventure at the Biscayne Nature Center! 10 am – 1 pm Come join in on the fun at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center. A naturalist guide with lead you to explore the Seagrass flats in the shallow water directly off the beach. Adults and children will carefully collect ocean animals; the naturalist will explain the importance of the animal in the ocean's ecosystem, and then the animals are returned to their ocean home. Please wear closed toe shoes or watersocks (no sandals or Crocs) that can get wet (required), and comfortable clothes, a towel, sun screen, hat and a change of clothes (optional). Saturday - February 14, 2009, Jaime Gili Artist Reception 7 to 10pm "Everything is borrowed." Jaime Gili was born in 1972. He grew up in Caracas, at the peak of a very singular local modernity in art and architecture. Gili often quotes as the best examples of a very special, modernist integration of the arts the private houses that Gio Ponti built in the city, and the campus of the Central University in Caracas, planned in the 1940´s by Carlos Raúl Villanueva, a campus which includes many artworks by local and international artists.
